How Did I End Up Here?

My journey began as a hairstylist in East Sussex, UK, where I worked in lovely salons. However, after a while, every day began to feel like déjà vu. At 25, I realised the conventional path of house buying, marriage, and kids wasn’t for me yet, so I decided to shake things up! With a strong urge to explore, I packed my bags for what was supposed to be a six-week summer holiday in Chamonix in July 2020. I was eager to learn rock climbing and meet new people!

Soon after I arrived, I posted on a local Facebook page offering home hairdressing for a bit of extra holiday money, and word spread quickly! Fast forward five years, and I now run a busy full-time hairdressing business, travelling around the valley to style lovely people’s hair and help brides look their best on their special day—all while enjoying the freedom to explore the stunning mountains.

A Bit About Me…

I’m originally from East Sussex and once dreamed of becoming a dancer (who didn’t have that dream as a little girl?). I attended musical theatre college but soon realised it wasn’t my desired career path. Instead, I ventured to New Zealand with my childhood best friend, where I jumped out of planes and bungee jumped—don’t worry, I’m not so much an adrenaline junkie anymore!

My biggest procrastination? Cuddling with Milo, my Norwegian forest cat. Seriously, he occupies my entire morning! I’m one of four girls and have two beautiful nieces… (my family seems to have a hard time producing boys!).

In my free time, you’ll find me in the mountains with friends and my partner—snowboarding, split-boarding, mountain biking, climbing, hiking, or enjoying a picnic at the summit (priorities!). When I need downtime, I love curling up with Milo for some Netflix, practising yoga (I’m a passionate vinyasa teacher), painting, and savouring every delicious meal—especially dessert.
